Nature Canada's core operations run smoothly thanks to volunteers who provide essential help with letter writing, research and monitoring, and other clerical tasks.

Our Parks and Protected Areas campaign and our Endangered Species program succeed because of caring Canadians who take the time to write their politicians or newspapers about specific conservation problems and threats.

Our Communities in Action volunteers have put in hundreds of hours working on grassroots bird conservation projects across Canada.

And our NatureWatch program couldn’t exist without our volunteer monitors—people of all ages recording the sights and sounds of Canada’s frogs, the first blooms of the season, or the date the ice breaks up near their home.
